Practice Makes....

our paths may have crossed
but
for the briefest of time
you with the style
that beauty
and
all overspilling with musical grace!

then me
with the child like tom foolery
an ageing poet
with an A – Z
and a Hackney’d face

you lit up my room
like a thousand candles

and i …….
said all the right things
but at all the wrong times
and you just smiled
because you secretly knew
that as usual
for all the right reasons
 i’d fluff  up my lines!
