Spellbound

she casts her spell

where e’er she goes

a light dusting of my coat

it makes me scratch

and itch all day

and no known antidote!

Remember The Woods

we used to run amok

about the woods

screaming “Watch out, Gerrys!”

no time for woodland creatures

bluebells, bracken or berries

building our dens

from the things that we found

pinecone grenades

hurled down from the  mound

all charging out with pointed sticks

bloodcurdling war crys of DIE!

but......

as mother always used to say

“it’s all fun and games

till someone loses an eye!”

Great to do two spots in Las Vegas. First an open mic @ The Beat Cafe Downtown Vegas and the second  a slam at the beautifully sleazy Double Down Saloon. Very enjoyable meeting and performing with American poets & making some new friends to boot.....not literally.

Focus

they said
Monroe and Miller
could never work out
but their lifestyles 
were
at least a rhyme

she all sexual
and he intellectual
oft to focus
upon his time

they said

you see
she loved a Manhattan
but he
an iced tea (nice tea)

Rain Bones

Richard of York
gave battle in vane
so....
when they uncovered his bones
it started to rain
